Welcome to MySpendJournal. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MySpendJournal website, mobile applications, Progressive Web App (PWA), installed app experiences, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

Starter budgets, spending limits, savings goals, budget categories, alerts, charts, analytics, and other information generated by the Service are estimates and organizational tools only.

Any financial decisions you make based on information entered into or generated by the Service are made solely at your own risk. You should consult a qualified professional before making financial, tax, legal, investment, or debt-related decisions.

5. Data Accuracy, Imports, and User Review

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of information entered into the Service.

MySpendJournal may allow users to upload or process:

Automated transaction imports, PDF parsing, CSV parsing, categorization, duplicate detection, merchant matching, savings goal creation, starter budget generation, recurring transaction creation, spending limit suggestions, or financial parsing features may contain errors, inaccuracies, duplicates, omissions, or incomplete information.

Users are responsible for reviewing imported, suggested, automatically generated, or automatically processed data for accuracy before relying on it.

Starter Budget and Savings Planning Features

MySpendJournal may provide starter budget recommendations, suggested spending limits, suggested recurring transactions, savings goal recommendations, budget category allocations, and savings allocations based on information provided by the user, including income, household size, housing status, location information, and selected financial priorities.

These recommendations are generated automatically and are intended for informational and organizational purposes only. Users are solely responsible for reviewing, modifying, accepting, rejecting, or deleting any suggested budgets, savings goals, transactions, spending limits, or financial plans before use.

If you choose to apply a starter budget, MySpendJournal may create spending limits, savings goals, income transactions, expense transactions, and recurring transaction schedules based on your selected settings. You remain responsible for reviewing and maintaining those items.

6. Subscription Plans, Free Trials, and Billing

Certain features of the Service may require a paid subscription. MySpendJournal may offer a free plan, premium subscriptions, limited-time free trials, promotional offers, or app store-based subscriptions.

Trial lengths, subscription pricing, available features, billing periods, and plan offerings may change at any time. Current subscription pricing and trial terms are displayed within the Service or applicable app store at the time of signup or purchase.

MySpendJournal may offer free trial periods for premium features. At the end of the trial period, access may downgrade to the free plan unless you start or maintain a paid subscription.

Paid subscriptions may renew automatically on a recurring basis unless canceled before the renewal date in accordance with the applicable payment provider or app store rules.

By starting a paid subscription, you authorize recurring charges according to the selected billing cycle until canceled.

Alerts and notifications are provided as a convenience only. We do not guarantee that any reminder, email, push notification, calendar event, or alert will be delivered, received, accurate, timely, or uninterrupted.

You remain responsible for tracking your financial obligations, due dates, payments, bills, subscriptions, and other commitments. MySpendJournal is not responsible for missed payments, late fees, overdrafts, penalties, financial losses, or other consequences resulting from missed, delayed, inaccurate, or undelivered alerts.

Users retain ownership of the content, documents, financial records, transaction data, savings goals, budgets, and other information they upload, enter, or create within the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to upload and use any files, content, or financial information submitted to the Service.
